As I read U.S Public Health Service Syphilis Study at Tuskegee, It amazed me how the study was carried out in Macon County, Alabama. The same place that civil rights had occur back in 1965.
Also, it was good to see that they tried to help the poor by providing them with cure, and they tried their best to prevent it from happening again.
As for the article the "U.S Apologizes for Syphilis Tests in Guatemala," was about Americans would take prostitutes who already had the disease, would have sex with them to give them the disease, but if it wouldn't work they would put the bacteria on their skin, scraps to affect them. This article was sad to see that America would do individuals like this just because they were prisoners.
